Hi everybody!

I am now making cake shakes without the butter.  I realized that I do better with less added fat.  They are still yummy.

Cake Shake with SF LandOLakes 7
Cake Shake with SF LandOLakes 7
bacon and fried cheese
Deviled eggs
Planned:
Rib eye
Cake Shake 7
Popcorn

Vites on schedule.  Fluids check.  Exercise:  Leaving in 10 minutes for an amble with the dogs in this heat.  It won't last long because they can't handle the heat.

Becky,
Are you using anything in place of the butter? I'm still using the oil.

I switched from oil to butter and liked the taste better.  But because I eat so many of them I was getting oil slicks.  So I do know my DS is working, but I decided to try to make them without any oil OR butter.  I just added extra water.  Tastes the same to me!!

They tasted great but took too long to thaw/heat in the motel microwave.  So it was mixed.

Thanks for asking.  Next time I'm volunteering to bring the paper products. lol.

I have been following the recipe you posted for the shake-cakes with the exception of using Truvia instead of Splenda cuz that's what I had on hand. Last time instead of using canola oil I used coconut oil. OMG, it was soooo much better. 

You have gotten both my 17 year old daughter and I addicted to those cakes (however she prefers it w/the canola oil.)

I'm glad you like it.  Kayla (who first posted it) would be too.  I'm enjoying them without any oil now, but I think they are a bit drier.  I'll adjust my cook time and amount of water until I get them they way I like.
