OMG, I'm so happy for you! You weight about what I weigh too-I'm about 250 and am 5 ft 4 and3/4. I'm going in Friday to see the surgeon and HOPEFULLY, get a date. I know he's forced others to lose weight presurgery--and according to one other here on OH, it's not worth the fight. But it was 8 weeks from her first appointment when she got the date until her surgery so I'll hopefully be able to lose a few first.
Are they forcing you to lose any weight first?

I am 5'5.5. I was "supposed" to loose weight during the 6 month pre op diet but I actually gained.. 6 pounds i think... Losing would have put me below the 40 BMI and I did not want to risk not being approved. Some people have said that it goes by the weight when you first start but... not what I was told at my center.
