DS Docs in Los Angeles for Bowel Obstruction
I'm almost certainly having an episode of gas, but my gassy discomfort has me thinking about what I would do if I needed to see a doctor locally over concern of a bowel obstruction.
I had my surgery with Dr. Rabkin in San Francisco, but live in Los Angeles (Pasadena). My surgery was two years ago, so it's been well over two years since I looked for a good DS doc. I'll check with Dr. Rabkin's office on Monday as well.
fyi... i'm not in severe pain, just discomfort, am still passing stool w/out any real change in consistency although it seems like I'm backed up. I'm also aware that a blockage could exist in the biliopancreatic limb rather than the alimentary tract. There's much good info on bowel obstructions in this forum! :)
update... yes, I do have quite a bit of gas. Not nearly as much now as when I starting writing this post (if you catch my drift). Discomfort is less after passing gas, but would still like recommendations for the best DS doc to fix a bowel obstruction for future reference. Thanks.

I'm feeling much better today and think I tracked down the culprit. I (in a strange turn of events) drank 32oz. of diet coke yesterday. The artificial sweeteners must have done me in. The problem seems to be gas, but I do want to have a plan in place to see a DS doctor in an emergency here in LA, so I'll follow up.
