Has anyone come up with a way to cook bacon without all the freaking greasy mess?

I love bacon and I like it crispy but not burnt.  I stoped eating it for a while because I got tired of cleaning up the grease.

So any suggestions would be nice

LOL no offending intended lol.  I am sick of cleaning the foreman grill also but I agree this is the one way I was cooking my bacon and liking it.  But I broke the lid so now I have to get another one and money is tight and that could be a month or two.

I have made the worst greasy messes in my kitchen lately and I have just got to find another way lol.  I am trying to up my fat and protien because I have been stuck at same wt for over 13 months and I want to loose another 30.

Wings. BACON IS YOUR FRIEND, MY BFF lol.

P.S.  I will be 3 years post-op Dec 23 this year.

I bake it, 2 or 3 pounds at a time....then store it in Mary sized servings, between paper plates, in freezer zip lock bags, and freeze.  I just grab it from the freezer, pop it in the micro, and eat!  I also cook it this way when having crowds for breakfast.
Line 3 or 4 cookie sheets with foil, non stick is great, but regular is OK, too.   Lay out bacon single slice at a time.  (Don't just dump the whole pound on the sheet!)   Bake it in a 250 degree oven about 18-20 minutes...  watch it from 15 on...  you're house will smell like heaven.    Take the bacon off the sheet, lay it on an old brown paper bag to drain....   leave the foil alone, grease will congeal when cool, and you can just roll up the foil and toss.
No, my oven doesn't get too greasy inside at all...  it's the low and slow temp that does the trick.  Someone on here suggested using the baking trays that have the raised rack thing inside, but I like the convenience of tossing out the tin foil with very little left to clean.
Warning...  it's really hard not to keep eating while cooking....  I lose a lot of bacon that way that never makes it to the 'done' pile!     Mary  C

No,  I don't cover it!  ALSO,  I didn't know cookie sheets with sides were called  Jelly Roll pans...  that's actually what I use!  contains the grease nicely!

Carla, I use a jelly roll pan (the kind that people call cookie sheets but have sides), Line mine with foil and then add a small rack on it...that way, I don't get greasy bacon and very little draining of the bacon involved.

I also save my bacon grease for cooking with veggies (green beans, esp) but then that's the Southerner in me, :) I have a container that sits in the fridge just for this purpose.

And no, I don't cover mine to cook it.

I'm not playing, LOL...since a DS'er typically only absorbs 20% of the fat we eat, it's all good. My last total cholesterol (a year post op) was all of 179. Pre-op, without meds it stayed up around 220+.

Oh, and I am at goal weight eating bacon grease, butter, full fat cheese, etc. Weighed 130 on Sunday which puts me at a 22 BMI.

Cooking with bacon grease is a DS'er's dream if they are Southern.
