The bag says its not a sufficient source of protein. Its 7g of protein. Why would it be insufficient? Does that apply to us?

They just aren't even close to a complete protein such as eggs and meat and whey protein isolate. They are a great source of fat though and tasty.

No,sorry, they really can't be counted as protein. mainly, because they are made of collagen, not a complete source of protein. obviously, these are made from pig skin, and skin is almost entirely made up of collagen.

collagen is great for hair and nails, but not so much for our muscles, heart, liver, lungs, etc.

I believe that eating them with cheese will "complete" the protein.  So use them as shovels to dip into the cheese sauce, or the full fat Greek Yogurt, or other dips.  They are great as shovels and ad some crunch  and texture to one's food

They also make great crust for fish or chicken and crunchy fillers or toppings for casseroles for us DSers. =) Cover in Mayo then dip in crushed pig skins and bake...YUMMY!

I've heard that if you eat them along with a complete protein source, like cheese, that you can reap the benefit.
