Has anyone heard of/used papaya enzyme?

I met a lady today who had her surgery 3 years ago, and she suggested it for that feeling when something gets "stuck".

Thanks!

I've heard of RNYrs using it but not DSrs.

Ah, now that you mention it, she was a RNYer.

Do you feel like things are getting 'stuck'?  Like what?  Chicken breasts, or other white/dry meat?

No,  it hasn't been a problem, aside from an unfortunate event yesterday, from which I have recovered.  I just met this lady today and we got to talking, and she recommended it.

Papaya enzymes for digestion have been popular for, gee, at least 20+ years.  Remember this health food restaurant I used to go to back in the late 80s/early 90s, would give you a bunch with your check...kind of like an after dinner mint. :)

Papain is useful in digesting protein, from what I remember.

They're usually very affordable.  Can always try and see if you notice any difference.

Lap-Band removed after 7 years and converted to Sleeve Gastrectomy on July 7, 2008 by Dr. Roslin.  I've had three happy healthy Lap-Band babies.... and one VSG baby.  5 years out from revision to VSG.  Gained 55 pounds in past 5 months, now considering DS. :(
