Why do DSers poop first thing in the morning??

I'm a little of 2 years out from being switched and I'm curious as to why I poop like clockwork first thing in the morning.

If anyone has any theories I'm curious to hear them. TIA

Short gut. Fast transit time....

Thank goodness it's first thing in the morning rather than after getting to work.

Yes, I'm glad I can plan this into my morning ritual.  I just find it odd that when I go rarely varies, unlike the old days ;-)

Argh... it can get a bit annoying when you have to get up to dash to the bathroom - even weekends.  I've had to leave the hotel at 4am to catch a plane before and still have to get up at 3am so I can poop and shower LOL!! ;-)

Valeries comment is interesting. I wonder if just being in the lying down position helps with that too.

Yes I realized that standing up helps speed things along. For example, 99% of the time I have to make 2 short trips to the bathroom in the morning. If I'm being lazy & go back to bed after the 1st trip, I usually won't feel the need to go again until I get back up later on. But if I just find something else to do after the first trip, then I'll feel the need to make a 2nd trip in 5-10 minute tops!

Yes, I wonder if lying down does have an effect.  I sometimes go to bed with zero gas/bloating until I lie down and then, well... ya know ;-)
