Still considering DS......

how many vitamins do you take everyday?

Do you take them all at one time?

Are they expensive (I am doing self pay Mexico)

Your BMI is in the twenties, why do you want the DS?

Hi 096

I need to update my profile. My BMI is higher now and continues to climb even after VS surgery done in 2009

Before I switched to patches, I was taking about 14 pills daily.  Now I take 4, and will be getting bloodwork soon to see how these patches have done for me.

Most of my vitamins were able to be pulled together locally, and I stocked up on BOGO sales for the staples.  Even with my purchases of the dry fat-soluble vitamins, I was easily keeping my costs under $50/mo

What are the patches you speak of?  Sounds a lot better than 14 pills.

Patchmd.com is what I'm using.  Their multi covers just about everything we need.

I'm almost a year out. I take 25-30. I take them 4x a day. Some stuff like Iron (6/day), D (2/day), and calcium (6/day) add to the total. I was always deficient in those pre-op, so post op I really have to stay on top of them.

Be sure to take the pills together the way you should. i.e. iron can't be taken with pretty much any other med, dairy, or caffeine (so I take as soon as I wake up and only drink water for 1st hour). Vitalady has extensive info on this aspect of vitamins.

To be honest I've never figured out the monthly cost. I stock up when I see a decent price. Thankfully money isn't an issue for me.

Thanks for the info - Much appreciated

you don't have to qualify for the patches. You just choose what you want and buy them
