If you click on the Resources tab at the top of the page then use the Post Op Planner, you can look at what you'd weigh at any % lost. It's a great tool to play around with.

My surgery weight was 320 pounds (5'3"). I'm 15+ years post-op and my current weight hovers around 155 (my original goal was 150). Honestly I don't even acknowledge the BMI charts because if I did, I'd still be considered overweight.

I got to goal and beyond in 14 months, but realistic regain with the DS is only around 15-20% of what you lost. This is where the DS wins over the other procedures. You can fight it or accept it.

I'm at 14% now, 13 years later, and I stay there without any effort at all, so I'm not complaining at all.
