Started losing after Atenolol stopped

Hi, I had GBDS in 2005. I immediately lost about 80 lbs but completely plateaued at 240 lbs. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. I pretty much maintained that weight, fluctuating between 235-250 lbs over the years. In August, my Atenolol was discontinued. I was on 100 mg the whole time. Since then, I have been losing weight, as though the surgery kicked back in! I have lost 25 lbs, now down to 220, and still losing. Does this story resonate with anyone else?

What's Atenolol?

Atenolol is in a group of drugs called beta-blockers. Beta-blockers affect the heart and circulation (blood flow through arteries and veins). Atenolol is used to treat angina (chest pain) and hypertension (high blood pressure). It is also used to treat or prevent heart attack.

What were you being treated for with Atenolol?

There are three ways of dealing with difference: domination, compromise and integration. By domination only one side gets what it wants; by integration we find a way by which both sides may get what they wish.........
