question about drinking while walking/jogging

I am about 5 weeks out from surgery and am walking 2.5-3 miles every other day.   I always take  bottle of water with me when I walk or am on the treadmill.   I frequently get very intense abdominal pain, not really cramping, when I drink my water.  It doesn't happen every time, but I have never experienced anything like this before.  I am going to talk to my Doc about it next week when I see him, but was curious if anyone had this happen to them.   I vary up the amount I am drinking from little sips to larger sips and the amount doesn't seem to be the trigger.   I appreciate any feedback!

i would definitely talk to your doc right away, you shouldn't feel intense pain like that.  i can occasionaly get gas pains when i drink when running, mostly because i sometimes swallow air if i gulp it down, but not intense pain.
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.
