do any of you have ROAD ID ? i am wondering what i should put on it -- gastric bypass patient? bariatric patient?

help?

Height: 5'6". Top Weight/Surgery Weight: 274. (August 2010)
8 weeks out: 219.6. 12 weeks out: 198.
NORMAL WEIGHT REACHED MARCH 2011 (153 lbs.).
Goal BMI: In the normal range, please -- somewhere between 22-24
Clothing size 26/28 (triple X) before surgery in August of 2010.
March 2011 clothing size: 10/12 (large)

i didn't put anything specific on the band about WLS, but it was in my profile.

I don't have a Road ID. I do wear my medical alert bracelet 24/7 though, and it DOES mention my RNY and says "No Blind NG Tube".

I have 2 of them, they come in different styles.

My name & my emergency contact info
and it says RnY no blind NG

They also make one that you can register and they hospital can call and get more of your medical info. The only problem with that is the emergency responders aren't going to be calling that number. I can't think of a time when I was dealing with a patient that was so out of it that they couldn't give me their information that I would have had time to get out the cell phone and call the service.

I would have just treated them with the standard proceedures that were done for anyone else if their medical I.D. didn't give me detailed instructions or information.
