Is there a shirt that helps support a guys upper chest for running?

Ok ......for me this is a real sensitive area to talk about but I have to ask....

I want to start running or jogging, I really would like to be able to run a 5k in few months. My problem is that when I run my upper chest bounces. Is there a shirt out there made for guys to stop that from happening?  I am going to the gym and exercising to build muscle in that area but that takes time.

It works if you work it; it sorta works if you sorta work it; and it doesn't work if you don't work it.

You could also give a compression shirt a try.  I'm three years out and still need added support to make sure all the loose bits don't fly around.  I also believe they have helped prevent any chaffing issues from long distance runs (never have had a problem, but have always worn a compression shirt).

There are a number of different brands out there, but the ones from Target (C9 brand) work just fine for me.  You may have to find the right size, etc.  They should be tight, but still allow you to breathe.  :)

Compression Shirts!

Get it 1-2 sizes smaller if you can barely breathe it fits right!I wear both tops and bottoms with the shirt tucked into the britches as it gives the lower ab more stability and less flapping as well.

I started wearing compression for workouts and races but end up wearing compression tops most days now.

Yeah the Under Armor or better yet the Target or Wal Mart version do a great job.

They are much more cost friendly than buying the name brands like Under Armor

Wal Mart is even carrying some winter ones now that are lined and long sleeved.  I like those for winter bike rides.

You might want to find a VERY tight fitting racer back bra. I know it doesn't sound all that great, but you don't want bleeding nipples and the bouncing is painful and makes my chest 'burn'. I know more than one guy that has bought a woman's jogging bra to keep it all tight and snug until it actually IS tight and snug. Just wear an opaque shirt over it. Seriously...give it a try!!

Alternatively you could wear a core compression shirt, but those make me HOT!

Edited to add...I am a woman, so I do understand the bouncing being an issue. :)

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

I have been using the Walmart version. They also started selling the instant slim shirts. As Seen on TV haha. I like mine enough that I'm going to buy another. They are about 20 bucks but seems to holdup longer.
