Cool weather - are you faster?

We finally have some coolness in the morning here in South Texas.  I know the 60 degree weather helped me on my 5K yesterday.  This morning, my MAF numbers were 30 - 45 seconds faster per mile than Friday.  Friday was not real warm but it was in the mid 70's with high humidity.  This morning it was in the low 60s with moderate humidity.

Yes for me as far as cooler weather.  I know I'm stating the obvious but the main thing I've noticed is that it's much easier to run at 138 lbs. than at 250 lbs.  So the lighter you get, the faster you are...and the faster you are...the lighter you get.  I know, not rocket science... :)

Today was more like last Friday and my times reflected it.  I was 20-30 seconds slower on my miles.

Did you run yesterday?  If I don't run for a day, I'm much faster the next run.

I just walked and did light elliptical work yesterday.  I did my 5K on Sunday.  Monday it was in the mid 60's and low humidity. Today was mid 70's and high humidity/light rain.  It does not stay cool very long in South Texas in September.  We are back in the mid 90s today and the rest of the week.

A little cooler today, about 70 degrees and 80% humidity.  Yesterday was 79 with 90% humidity.  My times were 30 seconds to a minute per mile better than yesterday.
