Know of any workout apps?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows of or has tried a workout app? I'm wanting to add more strength training to my workouts, but I'm totally confused on what are the proper ones to do. Originally I had a personal trainer I started with before my surgery September 12, but while I was on surgery leave my second part time job decided to " phase me out" as I call it, which has left me unable to afford the personal trainer at the moment. Currently I just rotate around on the machines at the gym, but I want to add more, especially with free weights. Any advice helps. Thanks!

It's not an app, but I really like the New Rules of Lifting - the original book.  It's in line with the methodology I learned from my ACE Personal Trainer course.

What exactly are you looking for? Running? Weight lifting? Low-equipment exercises? A simple tracker?

Hello I always need to do more strength training but I never seem to find time. One app for Strength Training I like is JEFIT

Here is the link  https://www.jefit.com/

I have not used it for a while I hope it still works.

I like to use Strava and Runkeeper for Running and of course I use by Fitbit  with the Fitbit app to keep track of steps.  Hope this helps!

Hello!  I cant suggest any apps but I can recommend beachbody workouts.  You can buy the workout DVD or get beachbody on demand which you can access on your phone or ipad.  No, its not free but worth every penny.  I'm a beachbody junky and own probably 80 % of their workouts and have had amazing results with them.  For weight training I would strongly recommend Body Beast and/or Hammer and Chisel.

Good Luck!!

Jefit is pretty good app for fitness. Gives you exercises, community submitted routines, and you can even create your own. Good way to keep track of your workouts and to see how much time you spent lifting vs. wasted. I recommend it as well others!
