So today was the day - was supposed to fence in two tournaments - women at 9 am and mixed at 1 pm. I got the fencing club at 8:15 an no one else (other than my coach and the other referee) were there. Waited til 9:30. No morning bout. (Have no idea where the other registered folks went, but . . .) Came back to the club at noon to warm up for a 1 pm mixed veteran (40+) event.

I did not do as well as I hoped, but I achieved some goals, learned and had fun. Back to the grind.

Monday - Fencing 2 hours

Tuesday - Meetings in the evening. Maybe I can get a daytime workout in, but I'm not hopeful.

Wednesday - Fencing 2 hours

Thursday - Gym - weights and agility

Friday - Work and tickets to a show - so not much happening then

Saturday - Maybe gym or bike ride if weather permits

Sunday - rest (unless I can find a fencing tourney within 100 miles of my house.)

Hope everyone has a good week.

Keep on losing!

Diana

How frustrating for you to show up and have no one else there! I'm sorry you had that experience. I'm glad that the afternoon went better, if not as you had hoped but at least worth it!

Nice to see you back.

Mt. Taylor 50k went pretty well. Snow and mud all over the course. 6,500ft. of climbing. Total time 7:32.

Running will be sporadic at best this week. We just moved into a new house so that will take up most of my excess time.

I did well last week, aside from my bike being in the shop two days...

Monday- 3 mile AM run, PM "Run Club" plus weight circuit

Tuesday- 30 minutes laps before work, bike commute

Wednesday- 3 mile AM run, PM weight circuit

Thursday - 30 minutes laps before work, bike commute

Friday - 3 mile AM run, packing up an apt so stairs and lifting!

Saturday - Wedding photography gig - so lots of squats as I drop down to frame shots!

Sunday - More packing

This past weekend I drove to IL to pick up my new running partner. Well... not quite "partner" yet - he needs to grow up first but he will start leash training this week! He's a French Brittany (the actual breed name is hard to pronounce but it is basically a smaller version of the American dog, with more color variations and while they do LOVE to go for runs, they don't actually HAVE to go for runs.)

so so cute what did you name him

The breed requires a specific letter for the first part of the name of the dog - this year the letter is "N". I decided to name him after a character in the Harry Potter series, Neville. I was going to call him "Fido" but now he just looks like a Neville to me :)
