Why is my Unjury always so lumpy?
I'm in the liquids stage and pretty much have to use a supplement to get my protein in. The problem is, Unjury is ALWAYS so lumpy and gross when I add it to almost anything. I know that heat breaks down the proteins, so it shouldn't be heated above 130 degrees, but it still clumps up even at much lower temperatures.
I know I can always add it to cold things, but I added to pudding and it was kind of clumpy and a weird texture. And I have a hard time getting down protein shakes. So I really would prefer my protein supplement to be added to my soups/broth.
Am I doing something wrong here? Any Unjury tips? Or, is there just some better product out there? I've heard rave reviews about Unjury here from many people, so I figured it would be the way to go.
Thanks,
Melissa

Melissa,
Unjury is the only protein supplement I use other than SF CIB, which technically isn't a protein supplement. I have NEVER had Unjury clump. When I added it to pudding, I added it as I was mixing the pudding with the milk and used a whisk. Generally, I don't add it to anything warm. At this point in my journey, I occasionally use it for a protein shake in the morning (depending on if I'm tight or just trying to make sure I get enough protein in). When I do that, I put it in my magic bullet. It whips so much that it's kind of fluffy like a McDonald's shake.
My advice, make sure you're really mixing it good. Use a whisk or a blender of some type.
Good Luck,
Dawn
Melissa,
I too am in the liquid phase. When in doubt, I use a meat thermometer to mesaure the temperature. Personally, I think the bullet is too expensize. With the broths, I am able to mix the unjury unflavored in with one problem. When I make a smoothie, I blend it either with a stick blender or the full-size blender. I have not had a problem yet. Maybe you should try using a thermometer to make sure the temp is not too high for the warm soups.
Take care,
Renay
