Tara Banks called FAT, IS THIS what some folks call FAT?

Tara Banks has been called FAT by some tabolid media, give me a break, can the girl eat...she mentioned during her "Modeling days" she has been as low as 130 pounds, she is 5;10 for god sake ....we tall girls can handle weight, and I carry it very well I must say....I am happy I am between 5'7 to 5'8 tall and If god willing I can get to 160 pounds I think I will be dancing ...I cannot beleive that in hollywood you have to look sick ,gaunt and boyish looking to be accepted or as they call SLEAK ...if this is what you call FAT...I think I am going to love being FAT...hehe...

My daughter saw this at the store and said, "she looks healthy." ---- and my daughter was once obsessed with her weight (she is 16 now). She used to be in gymnastics, but she weighed more than the other girls -- mainly because she has HUGE leg muscles and a nice little (well, maybe not so little ) bubble butt -- BUT -- she is very athletic and has never had a weight problem. I think some folks simply look at the number on the scale and let that tell them that they are fat (that was the problem with my daughter -- her "number" was bigger than everybody elses, but she was in GREAT shape -- and still is). I am 5' 6 1/2" and when I weighed 175, I looked GREAT --- I worked out all the time and was in shape --- then I broke my leg and had some other health issues that the DR put me on meds for and gained over 60 pounds in six months -- now, I am fat -- BUT -- LOSING thanks to my band --- and I know that if I simply get down under 200, I might be the happiest person on the earth. My goal is 140, but it is not a hard and fast thing -- if I am down to that 175 range again and feeling good, then I will be fine. For me now, it is more about getting healthy, making this diabetes go away, and the leg/back/foot pain that seems to have gotten worse with each pound I packed on.....

Hello DeAnsin, I agree she look healthy, she mentioned on Larry King the other night that so many girls have eating disorders and starving and being underweight and she cannot figure out why when it does not look good and also it is not healthy....

And yep thanks to your bands we will get to the promise land the healthy way N.

I just love Tyra.  She is one of my favorite people.  At least she is fighting back.  She is one beautiful woman inside and out.  I was watching an interview she did the other day and she said that the modeling agencies actually wanted her to get down to 113 lbs.  Now if that is not anorexic at 5'10" what isn't?  No wonder so many young women are screwed up.  Laura

I agree, I love Trya also she has been so supportive of young girls who have body image issues and...some young girls become anorexic or bulimic, just because some jerk may tell them they are too fat even when they are really thin...this is really sad......she mentioned that no one is going to break her self esteem...she is gorgeous...

Marc, I don't think you are a nut..hehe...MOST guys I ever talked with mentioned,  the only guys likes bones are dog... Plus Tara mentioned that most models starve only to look unreal like mannequins

 

for modeling jobs...not necessarily to look sexy....

She looks fabulous! I bet just about any man would still fight zombies to get to her door!

You are so right, Naomi.  Tyra Banks is one smart cookie.  How refreshing to see a celebrity with brains behind a beautiful face.  I heard this a few weeks ago so searched until I found the pictures in question.  She does have a bit of meat on her compared to her skinny cover days but who the heck cares.
