Protein and Lactose Intolerance

Okay, so I did the whole CIB and added dry milk for extra protein and neglected the fact that sometimes milk and I don't get along so well. Well, I'm paying for it now. So I'm going to GNC or Vitamin Shoppe tomorrow after work to get some protein.

Does anyone have any advice/recommendations for proteins with lactose intolerance?

Are you looking for a protein drink? If so, I used the Glucerna. It is lactose free. I personally liked the vanilla and strawberry. The chocolate was delish but has sugar alcohol in it which makes me sprint for the bathroom. Not a pleasant experience. Be sure to look for any ingredient with casien - which is milk derived.

For protien powder, whole foods makes soy based protien powders which are very good and mix in well.
If it is to be, it is up to me!

I'm also lactose intolerant so the Nut told me to use Boost High Protien it is lactose free. Never had a problem with it during the liquid preop diet. I got it at Sam's club for a great price.

Thanks so much. Last night I was on the GNC website and Vitalady and couldn't tell if any of these had any milk diritivies in them. I do use Lactaid milk (though I prefer Dairy Ease but it's harder to find) but was out so I just used my kids skim milk. I looked on the CIB package last night and saw, sure enough, it already has milk in it. So I'm going to have to fore-go the CIB and go to a protein powder or drink.

Thanks so much!
