Optifast side effects

Ok, so I am on day 8 of the 14 day pre-surgery Optifast diet.
I am still having stomach pains about 15 minutes after I finish them,
and I have a slight rash in my mouth. Any one else have anything like
this happen to them or any other side effects.

Still in the pre approval phase, however if you are having a mouth rash I would call the md pronto, A mouth rash would/could  effect surgery so its important to let them know. Maybe it has nothing in common with the Optifast  but you still need it cleared up in time for the big day. Stomach pain is also important  for them to know!!!  I would give this info not just to the receptionist, but also the nurse pract. and the MD.

I would call regarding the rash and the stomach pains.   I have found that with protein drinks if I hand stir them I do not get the gassy stomach pains.  Also in the meantime, try gas-x extra strength.  good luck to you!
