Call 911

I ran on my treadmill for the first time. OMG call 911!!!! I am over a year and half out of surgery and have always just walked, but my weight loss is at a stand still so I decided to change things up. Truthfully it felt really good. I didn't even know I could run!!! LOL! Didn't run much, but it was a start. How I love the things my band has helped me accomplish!!!

Since you are just starting to run a good thing to try is interval training.  That's where you walk for 2-3 minutes and then run for 1-2 minutes.  Since your not running the whole time you can do it longer.  I usually go for 60 minutes.  Have you heard of Couch to 5K...look it up.

 My trainer says its a 1 to 4/5 ratio. Run for 1 at the fastest you can and walk for 4-5 half as fast for recovery.
I get a great work out when I do that.

I downloaded the Couch to 5K app on my iPhone 4 weeks ago. I am stuck between Weeks 3 and 4. Honestly, I can't believe that I'm running either. It is truly amazing. Look up the app, it's fun and very motivating!! All the best!!
