Christmas or Holiday goals?

on 11/21/11 2:46 am - NY
Does anyone have a weight goal out there for Christmas?  I normally hate setting arbitrary goals but I am going to NC to see my Mother and Father who I haven't seen since last Christmas, and of course they haven't seen me since surgery.  They don't care how I look, of course, but I wanted to be able to say I'd lost 100 pounds by then!!  I have 9 or 10 to go depending on how nice the scale is on any given day.

I'm not going to do anything drastic, just keep on keepin' on.

Any goals that anyone has in their minds?

I'm with CG on the maintaining. I will be eating very well during the holidays. So I wouldn't even think of weight loss during that time. As long as it doesn't go up.or does so just a few pounds that I can easily get back off......I will be happy. you have any idea how many calories are in egg nog?!

Mine was in two parts. The first was to drop down to the bottom of my comfort zone - done that. 148 today which is 2lbs below my zone.

The second one, not to gain more than will take me to the top of my comfort zone by the beginning of January! So I have 6lbs to play with!

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

I want to get down to 60 pounds lost. 257. I only had 5 pounds to go but I am retaining water right now so it is about 8. I did go buy a gym membership on Sat.

I'm with a lot of others.  Maintain through all the holidays and birthdays my family has.  Keep up with my Zumba and workouts.  And hit it hard in January and work on losing quite a bit more before summer.  I wish everyone lots of luck with their goals!

I have the same goal as you, DonnaMarie - to lose 100lbs by Christmas.  I know many have posted about the holiday feasts and maintaining, which is great, but I myself actually do okay during the holidays.  I guess you could call me a "closet eater."

We have 33 days until Christmas.  I'm thinking of the 100lb loss as a Christmas gift to myself.  And if I don't get there by then, I'll get there shortly after.  Either way, we should both (all) be proud of what we have accomplished so far.

Good luck!
