Boy do I love using that smiley face! Lisa is doing so much better still a long way to go but has come so far since this all started. According to her friend her swelling is gone and she looks like her old self again, she had ballooned up to 300 lbs with fluid! Lisa tries to talk by mouthing words but mostly they can't understand her. Her friend told her that probably 10,000 people were praying for her and she mouthed NO as if she were exagerating how many. She still has her arms in restraints because she tries to get up and pull out the tubes,they really get her annoyed. The trach is how they wean her off the vent and that is going well. They can put a mask over the trach if she needs it rather than a tube down her throat. They are hoping it can be removed very soon since she is doing so well. There is much to be grateful for this holiday season! Keep her in your thoughts and prayers, she still needs alot of recovery.
