1st Sunday Weekly Weigh-In of '07
The First Sunday Weekly Weigh-In of '07__________January 6th!
Congratulations and Happy New Year All!
Welcome to our New Guys and you men
Who are just now weaning off the Pain meds while on liquids only.
Hang in there!
Glancing back over some of these "W-Way-ins" from the past?
We've left a ton in the past,
And I don't know how the Insulin Manufacturers are staying in business
After the hit they've taken.
I'm looking forward to George's idea of an ONLINE Support Group getting up and running,
That'll be the "Next Jump Forward" for the Men's Board.
For some of you newer guys?
There was no such Board until just a little over a year ago.
It was just a handful of guys online,
Either flirting with, or ducking from a sea of Cat-fights and recipe swappers
Discussing how jealous the "Mean-Girls" at the office were.
So Happy New Year!
For the Chinese it's still the year of the PIG until after Valentine's Day
Then it's The Year of the DOG!" Pigs & Dogs? 2007 must be "The Year of The Man."
Off to a Good Start for '07?
I know that using the scales can make some crazy,
(Slower loss is Still Loss!)
-But-
Keeping track and forcing myself to "Watch It!"
Has been the "What works for me," for maintaining my loss.
I'll eat, but know that I need to exercise a little bit more
If the numbers climb just a little.
That way,
I only make "Little" adjustments to my weekly routine.
If the "Scales Make You Discouraged?"
Then STAY OFF of Them!
But for those who Are weighing in-
Drum roll---------------------------------------------------------
Hop your Azz up on the Scales!
How much have you lost?
Since Surgery?
Or in Pre-Op Diet?
And has the Scale moved this week for you?
If so, How Much?
My Starting Weight? - 385 +
All Time Low - 179
Today? - Back down to 182!!! My best since Plastic Surgery!!
(actually my Saturday Morning weight.)
( I had been weighing in the evenings for the last few months...tmi)
So, What about YOU?
(NEW GUYS AND LURKERS?
Scan back over the last months of this weekly post,
And you'll get a fairly clear picture of the fact that there isn't a "Typical" progress,
Just massive, persistent, overwhelming - PROGRESS!)
(Plateaus DO BREAK!)
(Congratulations in Advance!!)
Keep It Up!!!
Best Wishes-
Dx
Wish I knew.
Started at 460
Last Doc Appt - 93
At that time I bought a pair of size 54 pants tight squeze and a 54 inch belt at the same time well the pants I am told are droopy on me and I am on 4th notch on belt could alsmot get first notch when I bought it. Do not trust the home scale anymore it says 330-340 but who knows till next doc appointment. Oh and the cymbalta seems to be working just cannot get the full blown thing during sex go for hours but he just does not want to upchuck. lol Oh and man I have never been much of a drinker but the captin in the cuppard calls my name all the time like tonight I had a cap full. Not sure where that is coming from.
BTW Nice to see you guys have not been around much two hard drive failure's on same laptop with in a 2 week period and the holidays have kept me busy.
Good Luck to all.
Dave we had or surgerys within a week of each other and I have been at a stall for a while to I thought it was because of beer. I am close to your weight at 190 and it hasnt moved much so maybe thats what happens at 10 months out? and we dont have as much impact on it as we think? I still want to give the beer up
Hi Matt,
It's interesting that you have stopped too. Maybe it is the 10 months out thing. That said, I'm not that careful about how many carbs or how much fat I'm taking in. I also only do cardio two days a week. I'm 176-8 now and not really needing to lose much more body fat.
It will be interesting to see what happens between 12 and 18 months out. I think if I were to see say, more than 4 pounds weight, I'd cut back on the carbs and fat again.
Have a Good One,
Dave
