OMG IS IT ME ?(Dr. Ortiz Lagardere)

Is it me or is DR. Kelly the most popular Dr on the Mexico fourm....Thats all I see everyday LOL (Not hating)



Has anyone been to Dr. Ariel Ortiz Lagardere for the VSG? Please fill me in if I am missing something.

this board is not very active, but I have heard the name just read through pages here and you will probably find some people that have used this surgeon.

I had Dr Kelly, no complaints. When I started searching for a mexican surgeon I found the Mexicali surgeons were the most popular but I couldnt afford their prices so I looked for the best at the lower cost. Lots of Dr Kellys patients on here that is why you see his name lots. You will hear mixed reviews now where he no longer has coordinators that promoted him lots, now he is the surgeon that they say negative things about. So word of advice speak to the patients of the surgeon you select and not the coordinators. Also look at the size of the sleeves they perform, maybe that extra 4000 -5000 is worth it to you.

I used Dr. Ortiz five years ago.  Have not one bad thing to say.  Never a problem, lost 160 pounds and been back a couple times for check up. I think he is awesome.  And actually, his assistant, Dr. Martinez does surgery with him and I was told he does most of the work except the placing of the band.  He is wonderful too.  My whole experience was wonderful.

 For the lowest price, Dr. Kelly is the most popular surgeon, in Tijuana, however there are about 5 top Mexican surgeons in all, which range from around the $7,500 mark and up.

I was thinking the same thing..not much on here about him. I am leaning towards him too from what I have researched and from what others have told me..maybe its because he doesnt seem to advertise??

Dr Ortiz is newer to the sleeve procedure, though has done lap band and other procedures for longer. My aunt had him for lap band, good experience. I chose aceves for vsg.

 I just got back from being sleeved by him.  Facility was great, he was very busy. There are sure a lot of people going to see him! I am 4 days out and feeling great!
