Guelph Information Session Wait Times
I just called Guelph General Hospital inquiring about my referral wonder when should I expect to receive any information on the Orientation/Information session. I was informed that they just scheduled all of the March 2011 referrals for APRIL 2012!!! Is this typical?? Over one year to attend the information session.
I might ask to be transferred to another clinic but I don't know which clinics has shorter wait times. Can anyone help??
My goal was to look amazing by my 40th birthday which is Sept 2012. At this rate, I might look amazing by my 45th birthday

I am going through St.Joe's in Hamilton and the wait times are not too too bad for me anyways. My referral form my family doctor was October 2010 and my infomation session was Feb. 2011. I have since seen the nurse, social worker, dietician, had my scope and just seen the internist yesterday although it seems like a lifetime it is going by pretty quick!!
Best of Luck!!!

Im going to Guelph, and was told back when my refferal was sent in Feb 2010 that it was a 7 month process form referral to surgery. Im now waiting for a surgeon appt and was told they now have the longest wait times on all Ontario (2yrs). I would ask to go to either Humber River or St Joes. Call Guelph and ask for a transfer right away. They have to approve it, but usually it isnt a problem (as I was told) It will cut it down to about a year
I had my surgery seminar in January here in Windsor they sent my referal in.. I got my meeting with Dr. P.H about 2 months later (march) and I just had my surgery May 25th. Dr. Ph was away for a bit due to a family emergency but she is back now.. but they did state that a ton of referalls were coming in daily.

I am going through Guelph as well. My referral was sent September 2010 and I got my letter from Guelph in December. It said that I would be going to orientation in August 2011. So the wait times at Guelph seem to be pretty long. Only 3 months to go for me but at least I will be able to eat at my wedding in October and not have to give that up. I thought about changing hospitals but the timeline would have been to close to my wedding date and i didn't want it to interfere with it.
