WLS and blood pressure
I've read a LOT about this post-WLS. Very common (not that you shouldn't have it checked out). My BP actually resides around the 75/55 range on a regular basis. At first this made me pass out, have dizzy spells, see spots, etc. etc. But eventually I seem to have gotten used to it. My BP isn't any higher, but I don't have the symptoms.
My dr. explained that when we are large, our bodies create a bunch of blood vessels to
feed" all that fat and tissue. As we lose weight, those redundant blood vessels remain. If we get stressed, change position, get dehydrated, etc. etc. the blood moves into those vessels and away from your head, causing the dip. That kinda made sense to me...

I actually read this over the weekend and I had talked to someone about those extra vessels and what happens to them. Makes perfect sense to me, but this weekend my BP was all over the place. Yes, I hate to admit it but I'm very stressed and trying to deal with far too much all at the same time. Hopefully by next week some problems will be resolved and life will settle down. Thanks Erica
