meat portions size?

Can anyone refresh my memory on portion of meat size? I know it it the size of a deck of cards...but if you are weighing it is it 4oz? I think that is what I remember.

People can really identify with material things instead of weighing three ounces out or doing a measuring cup type of measuring of foods.

So if you use your visualizer, we have a whole handout that we utilize for our patients that we give out.

One ounce is a domino cube, you know, and most patients we say one to two ounces to begin with, work your way up to the three to four ounces.

Since WLS, I never eat more than 3 oz (FYI - 3 oz of turkey or chicken breast has less than 100 cal and about 24 g of protein!)

Thanks Sam...we liked him. He was given to us 2 yrs ago...mysteriously disappeared this summer he was 7yrs. Randy was a great cat and started going out this summer onto the deck...one day he didn't return!

Thanks Karen..I have been weighing having 4 0z and some veggies. I am almost 3 yrs post op...trying to keep things in check!!
