What was that pain last night? Did I dump?

Can dumping involve actual stomach pain?  I've had this kind of pain before, due to medication sticks.  Last night I didn't have any large pills of any sort, just my teenie ironnpill, my night time medication (small) and chewable vit C.  I ate scrambled eggs and 1/2 slice ww toast for dinner, and a SF ice cream bar around 8..  I've never had any trouble with any of these foods.

So at bed time my stomach started to hurt, like a med or food stick.  I felt a bit dizzy and slightly nauseous (no hot/cold feelings or anything else).  It hurt so much that I had to get up and sit upright on the couch for nearly 2 hours before it finally passed.

Has anyone experienced this?  Could it be my first experience of dumping (at 9 months out)?  Any other thoughts?

I have my 9 month follow up today and will run this by the nurse, but wanted to get some OH feedback too.  I can't check on replies until late this aft as I'll be with clients at work and then at my appt.  Thanks in advance!

I'm not going to be much help to you since I didn't have an RNY, but I did recently read something similar where someone dumped on a SF ice cream bar, when they never had before.  I'll never find the post because I read several boards, unfortunately.  I have heard that you can start dumping at any time (if in fact this is dumping  ).  Like I said, not much help, but I hope you're feeling better!

Weird.  Honestly, I don't know if it was dumping or not.  I can tell you, however, that I could eat small amounts of NSA ice cream in 2010 and when I tried again last summer, it made me feel extremely nauseous.

I'm glad you're checking it out at your appointment today.

Considering I had mine out 2 years post-op, you would have thought I'd at least think of it. lol

Hi Karen

Go out and buy yourself some Papaya Enzyme....GNC has the best tasting one

I keep one on me at all times for the type of pain you describe....I eat 3 tablets and take a sip or two of water - miraculously gone in 2 - 3 minutes

Slightly OT:  Can't respond to whether or not that was a dump, but I'm at WMC at 13:30 today.  If we overlap, say hi!
