Day 2 at TWH
For those that don't know, I am in Toronto alone. My wife had to stay in the Soo to take care of our toddler.
I got a bit of sleep, but the biomedical floks did not like my cpap machine, so they for ed me to use an old one that didn,t have a humidifier and was like a hurricane by my head. I woke up at 5 am and set up my cpap machine and will tell the staff to stick the old POS in a closet.
I can walk around a bit but I have not been able to pee yet. I am drinking as much as possible and feeling better.

Give it another 24-48 hours and you won't believe the difference.
I live about 20 minutes from TWH send me an email to [email protected] if you need some help while you are in town.
Good luck
Harold

When are you suppossed to get discharged....tomorrow? Do you want a visit from any OH folks or do you prefer to keep your hospital stay private? I was alone most of the time in hospital, but I did have a short visit everyday from my ex-husband and son. I found people too stimulating for some reason and kept the visits to about 15 minutes in length, but I know other people really appreciate well wishes from visitors while in hospital.
Let us know and maybe someone from the board can drop by and say "hi" and bring you well wishes.
Hope you heal quickly!

Welcome to the loser's bench. It sounds like things are going well. Just keep sipping and walking and you'll be out of the hospital and headed home a new and healthier man. I bet your wife will notice changes in you even with this short of absence. I wish you a very speedy recovery, a safe trip home and a successful journey.
Hugs, Muriel

Oh I will probably be alone as well, but it will be by choice. I get annoyed when people try to help me and stuff. I really prefer to just be left alone to relax and cope with pain and healing. My son will be in Toronto with me and stuff, but he knows how I am and will leave me be. I hope you are ok with being alone.
Glad to know things are going swimingly for you!
