I'm getting this urge . . .

Lately as I've been walking to and from work, I've got this strange urge to run a bit. Thought I might eventually try running to a lamp post, then walking to the next one, and so on. Where is this urge coming from, it's too weird - never would have imagined it.

Had RNY surgery July 22/11, St. Joe's Hamilton, with the awesome Dr. Scott Gmora. Had abdominoplasty August 2/13, Scarborough, with equally awesome Dr. Michael Kreidstein.

I LOVE those urges. Today I had the urge to dance on the bus. I didnt and I'm almost sad that I didnt. LOL!

I think you should do it.

Isn't it a wonderful feeling? Your body is ready for you to move more!

Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!

Running = freedom. At least it always has to me. In my dreams, I never fly, I just run like I have wings and it feels amazing.

If I can ever get to the point where my body wants to run...seeeya..

Take it slow at first but go!

That's awesome, Megan! I've had that same urge but I have really bad knees (had juvenile rheumatoid arthritis) so running is out for me. If you're physically able, give it a try!

Too funny. I thought I was replying to the post about gas problems! I deleted my post because I didn't think you'd want a lengthy description of my gas problems. hahaha Funn though, that the post above mine says something about "feeling the urge". I must be bored today! :)
