Your centre should have given you this information. Usually you want to wait until all your sites have healed. You dont want bath water to get into any open areas as it can lead to infection.

Yeah, what Leslie said, everything has to be healed, you're not ready yet.  That first one, sure does feel good, though!

I thought it was one week or until your sterie strips fell off. I waited a week as I too was longing for a good soak in a hot bath!

You have to make sure that you are healed well, I was seaping fluid for a while, so I had to wait until that stopped before I could have more than a shower.  Hope it comes soon for you!

The pamphlet I got from TWH states, "You may shower 48 hours after your surgery.  Pat your incision dry after showering.  You may have a tub bath after 1 week".  That does seem a bit soon to me.  I would think you'd want to heal first.

I was told (Ottawa) to wait at least 2 weeks; longer if my incisions weren't completely healed.  I've been given the same instruction on this for 3 surgeries over the past couple of years.  I've had surgery recently and am dying to have a bath too!  Counting the days...
