I can so relate with people who walk around without thinking about where they are. So many times I am behind someone only to have them stop dead in their tracks but be blocking so many people.
Im glad you stood up for yourself and not lef some crazy shoe person get the best of you. I would have told her that I will be going to the cops to charge her with assault for spittingon you.

She SPIT on you???? I am horrified for you. I hope you went home and doused yourself in Purell! haha There is no shortage of looney people out there for sure, but it sounds like you handled the situation remarkably well.
I was walking down Younge Street with my husband one night, and unannounced to me, a crazy old woman approached me from the side and got within a decimeter of licking my left cheek with her green, fungus-covered tongue. I have no idea how she got that close without me noticing! Luckily I yelped and jumped away just in time. Hy husband laughed for days. In fact, he still ends up on the floor whenever he recalls the memory!

seriously and she spat on you, that is actually assualt...you should have asked for her id pretending you were going to contact her to pay and then filed an assault charge seriously people have all types of "things" that can be transferred via saliva.
that being said...I hear you on the fatso comment..I recall once when I made a comment to a woman and she comments move your big fat ass. to which I responded...so nice to know that you speak that way in front of your child..she has a child about 10 years old with her...I said "nice example you are setting for your child.
