Okay, I can stop losing weight now....
I weighed in at 188 lbs yesterday. I am 6 foot 1 and have never been so skinny. I eat good, every 2 hours I have something. My blood tests came back very good.
I need to find the off button. I refuse to give up exercising as someone has suggested.
Don't get me wrong, I feel good. I just got to stop losing my weight.

I had the same concern I am 5' 6.5" and am now at 150.4 . When I was younger and weighed 140 the doctor was concerned because of how I carry my weight and thought I was anorexic. I wasn't I was just very active with Dance classes at the time. I am now looking more and more like I did then. Right now it is to the point I can see my breast plate and ribs when I am working out. I don't consider this a good thing believe me. So I have increased my carbohydrates. The dietician seems to think this will work to slow down the weight loss. Let me know how it works for you and I will keep you posted as well.

It is extremely rare to lose too much weight. You are likely to regain anywhere from 10-30 pounds from your lowest weight and over the course of 5 years to put back on about 35% of the weight you lost, if you look at the statistics. Keep in mind too that you are used to seeing yourself as a much heavier person. You don't hit the bottom of the 'normal weight' range for your height for almost another 35 pounds, so I don't think there is any reason to panic yet. If you want to slow your loss though, carbs will do it.
I had OHIP approved Duodenal Switch surgery with Dr. Dennis Hong at St. Joseph's Hamilton on March 7th, 2012. Want more information on the DS in Ontario? Send me a private message!

Have you been trying to stop losing and failing?
Typical solutions are:
- more carbs
- higher fats
- another snack during the day.
- more protein
If all else fails, gravy & mashed potatoes!

I get that it's rare to lose too much weight believe me I was lamenting not losing quickly enough before...well kharma's a b%$@#. We have been trying to slow my weight loss down for the last few month's. Thought we had it licked for a while there and I was down to 1/2 lb a weekish...then wham 10 lbs gone in a blink. As I said I am 5' 6.5" and I understand that I am within the Normal BMI range but measurement wise things are a little messed up. The band for my Bra is now a 34, I wasn't even that small as a teenager. I can wear a size XS in yoga pants, my winter coat is a small and I have some tops that are a size small. If it wasn't for the d cup I have they'd probably all be smalls.
Going to try adding an extra high carb but healthy snack throughout the day. The high fat thing isn't going to work because fats bother my stomach.

Now if I could only grow an ass.....
