OK, last post on the CRAZY Transcanada Challenge for a few days, I promise. I just have some housekeeping duties to take care of.

1. I need to thank ALL of you for being such willing participants in my evil scheme. Your commitment is incredible. I'd like to take a moment to send out some honorable mentions from last month, though.

KellyBelly: For being the first member of the challenge to reach 100K in a week. Go Kelly!!!

Melissa_Ann: For being such a cheerleader for her team. I'm sad because I think she's deactivated her account. Come back, Melissa. We need you!!

All of the following people for meeting or exceeding their weekly goal each and every week: Aviva P, DonnaB1952, NiceEyes72, HeatherGetBetter, CherrysNewBeginning, LaurieC, LindyLouise58, and me, MissHeavyHearted.

A very special mention goes out to HighlandBear and KellyBelly for improving their mileages each and every week. HighlandBear's stats from week 1 - week 4 look like this: 38 Km, 42 Km, 52 Km, and 75 Km. and Kelly's are: 59 Km, 60 Km, 86 Km, 100 Km. Way to go!!!

Team CU L8R please welcome another new team member: GimpyMom has joined your quest and earned an admirable 22 KM for your team her first week in the challenge!

2. The challenge for November is to beat your average from October. Each week that you do more than the average mileage you achieved in October will grant you an entry into November's draw. In other words, if your average is 10 km/ week and you do better than this each week in November, your name will be entered FOUR times into the draw! (Remember, there ARE prizes!) Here is what everyone's average looked like.

Thank you for doing all this work. Congrats to Megan for winning. Kellybelly and highland bear you guys rock. I am going to be struggling to get my mileage in this week. Need to move my bike indoors. Bought an odometer to check my mileage when it is on the stand.

Wow, looks like everyone is doing so well.

I wonder if you contact some of the magazines if they would be willing to donate subscriptions for the cause of a healthy group. I think we are doing something extra ordinary and it just might be a good thing for sharing with them to encourage others that challenges like this can be good motivators.

Thanks for all your hard work and great job CU L8R's, and yeah, other teams too!

I can't believe that I'm the winner this month!  I never win anything.  Just checking out the thread from work and flew out of my chair (a year ago I would never have flown out of my chair!)  I am very grateful, even though there are others more worthy than myself.  I would very much like to have the pedometer, as I am now super-motivated!  Great job, everyone! .  Thank you so very much.

Had RNY surgery July 22/11, St. Joe's Hamilton, with the awesome Dr. Scott Gmora.  Had abdominoplasty August 2/13, Scarborough, with equally awesome Dr. Michael Kreidstein.
