I RAN!!!

I took my dogs on their usual walk this morning. I often do 10K but one of those mutts was real sluggish this morning so after the first 5K I figured she'd had enough. I hadn't so I went back out. On a whim I decided I'd run for a bit. WELL, I ran for about 3.5 kms!! Did that in 21:30. (Is that a decent time for the first run??) I'd tried the C25K about 60 lbs ago but really wasn't ready. Oh, how euphoric am I?? Guess I'll have to give that another go sometime.

A word to the wise, though. If you ever think you might run, put on a decently supportive bra before you leave the house. I didn't and these 40 year old empty milk sacs can really take a bruising!

So far today I've walked 6.5 km, run 3.5 km and have a hike planned for this afternoon with a friend if the weather holds up. (On the actual Trans-Canada Trail, no less!) Gosh, I love my surgeon, my RNY and MYSELF!!!

Fist off, well done!

Secondly, methinks some of us men may have to strap down our man-boobs as well!
