I did it!  Just that quick.  I've been eyeballing one of these for a while and considering, but the price kept me from buying.  But I just couldn't pass this up.  Thanks so much again for posting!

Now to tell my husband that we're stuffing one more thing in the kitchen when he wakes up. :)  I'll just tell him it was my birthday gift to me.  Hee hee!  (It's before my birthday, but what the heck, it's my birthday MONTH gift to me.)  Actually, he's been trying to figure out what to get me and when he'll get to go shopping for it since he's home looking after me right now, so maybe I'll tell him that I would consider it from him if he pays it off my credit card... :)

I got the food grinder and sausage attachment to the food grinder with it.  They weren't that expensive, about $80 in addition.  I am not crazy about meat, and I have a real problem with sausages and other stuff that I don't know what has gone in them, but if I can grind my own meat and know what has gone into it, I should be able to eat it without a problem.

Very very very excited!

I bought one, too.

Well, not this one. I went for the slightly more expensive but delectable coloured ice blue one. Only thing is they're out of stock so, hopefully, they'll get more and send me one! It was about $40 more but I just couldn't resist!

Ooooh, purty! :)

Red is my favourite colour, so I'm thrilled that the cheap one was red!  I can't believe I'm going to have a Kitchen Aid in TWO DAYS.

Okay, I'll calm down now.  I've been so bored over the past few days - I guess I'd better not turn online shopping into a transfer addiction! :)

those are both sexy machines way too big for my tiny kitchen but look at the shimmer they would look good in any room. I have been looking for an old one to use for soap making  . Enjoy angry

I have had one for years and just a heads up, you may want to order a 2nd bowl as it comes in very handy to have 2 of them.  Their prices for the bowls are much better than buying them locally.  Enjoy your Kitchen Aids, I love mine.

I want one! Sent the link to my husband. I am sure the first thing he will say is we do not have room for it. He is right but I still want one. Better than the waffle maker he gave me two years ago. I think I've used it three times and never since surgery.

Out with the waffle-maker, in with the mixer!  :)

(Tracey, I was wondering whether I should get that glass bowl they had listed as well...maybe I'll do that.)

I have both and use both.  When I am baking, sometimes you have to mix one thing and then mix another so it's a pain to clean the bowl to use it again.  I make chocolate meringues sometimes and you need 2 bowls.  So much easier.

So when my husband woke up this morning, I told him, "I've solved your birthday gift-giving dilemma!"  He was amused, and asked how.  So then I told him that I kind of ordered a kitchen aid mixer, and he could pay for it.

He told me, "I couldn't possibly do that.  What kind of husband buys his wife a kitchen item for a gift?  How sexist would that be?"

He was kidding of course, although he milked it for a good 5 minutes.  :)  So, early birthday gift!
