Ohhh just peachy...kidney stones!!

I ended up spend last night in hospital...they think its kidney stones..I guess its better now than after WLS though. CT scan is the next step...oh joy another trip that takes 2 days to get there!!

  

Orientation - Feb. 19 & 20/13 - NP,Nut, Psych, - Mar. 14/13 - Sleep Study - Mar. 24/13 - OTN with Dr. Sullivan - June 28/13  On my way!!! Preop Sept 25/13  -  SURGERY OCTOBER 22/13!!!!!!!!

They hurt like a son of a *****  Passed one once and thought I was dying.  I take it you are going to have to come into Timmins for that?  Will they not fly you from there to here?

No not Timmins for me...North Bay that is where my family is. And yes it hurt ...more than I could have expected and I'm a pretty tough old bird...lol!!

FYI....For several years, I had kidney stone attacks 2-3 times a year...excruciating pain! as I'm sure you now know.   On one occasion I was treated (in emerg) by a new Urologist and he told me to drink 2 litres of water daily and add 1/2 c. lemon juice to it (I use the bottled juice concentrate).  I have been doing this for about 5 yrs now and haven't had an attack since.  Apparently, the acid prevents the stones from forming....amazzzzing!

Lots of lemon and water for sure. Thanks for all the good advice and well wishes...now its just a bunch more tests before doctors final decision on what to do!!

I have been doing the lemon juice in water since my attack 2 months or so ago..so far so good..they told me no cranberry juice as it causes some types of stones,never heard that before...
