I am wondering if anyone has any emergency quick go to restaurants. So far I have come across Thai Express has a vegetable Spring roll thats 180 cals.. I can eat 1/2 but its all I have found that is remotely healthy on the go, or if I am stuck somewhere.

Wendy's chili is my quick go to on the run no time to sit...I am 6 months out and can eat 1/2 a small chili ....if I am stuck and there's not a wendys around I have also gone into a grocery store with a deli and I get 2 slices of a fat reduced meat usually ham...and a fat reduced cheese.. Usually Swiss ...and a small apple .. I will roll the ham with the cheese and make ham and cheese roll ups I can usually eat 2 and 1/2 of the apple ... Or I will get an individual Greek yogurt if they offer it

Glad you asked this question Lindsay,  I was wondering about this too!

On the run, Timmy's chili or soup is a good option.  I agree with the single serve greek yogurts too.  Now, I can also go anywhere with a salad - even wendys has a good salad option with grilled chicken.  Swiss chalet chicken with veges or mash potatoes is good too.  I spend a lot of time in hockey rinks and have found a few snack bars with chili too.  Hopefully you like chili.  LOL...

in a food court, I would choose the Japanese place that cooks the food in front of you and I order the chicken or beef teriyaki if you feel like eating something warm that is not soup.

It really is a hit or miss depending on what your pouch likes or dislikes.

I eat a banana (chew well and eat slowly).  A lot of variety stores, for some reason, sell them.

Or a carton of 2% milk.  Fluids and protein and calcium.

I usually head for a full service grocery store, they have a deli where I get some cheese with a few grapes or a roasted chicken piece and I'm good to go.

if you like su****ry the salmon salad rolls or cucumber salad rolls - both of them have use no rice!

chicken is usually a good option - I will normally go to subway and get the chicken breast on flat bread - i eat maybe about 1/3 of the flatbread but you can pile up the veggies kiss

as previously mentioned CHILI can be found anywhere

gas stations usually have like beef/turkey/chicken jerky - quick protein pickup

starbucks - protein packs or breakfast sandwiches... i will have maybe 1/2 of the bread its served on or just eat egg/meat/cheese

Um... Ok. So I love this thread idea. LOVE IT.

But... Wi**** was Dining Out. Or Restaurant options.

Um... I keep seeing it in the list. My eyes go wide... I choke a little. And then realize where I am, and that I am not in high school anymore and no one uses that term... but... yeah.

*blush*

It's not my fault. I am not feeling very mature these days so my sense of humour is very... naughty... and I keep getting visuals from thread titles.
