Hey there group mems!
I've been living in Durham and Toronto and am just shy of 3 years post op RNY. I know of a few people in this area who have had WLS, but am looking to meet and chat with more :)
I'm in the middle of a crappy marriage breakup right now and am looking at starting work in the area. I was wondering if there was anyone interested in meeting up for coffee, possibly at the mall or something tomorrow?

I'm in Trenton, next town over, but I have to work tomorrow. Today was my only day off. But yet, they're closing 5 beds at my hospital to help with the funding shortfall due to government cuts.
To continue off topic, now I have to worry about my job security, since 5 beds means someone will loose their position. I'm the last hire for the RPN's as a part timer. I have 6 patients on a day shift, but the RN's have 5, so it will impact someone for sure. Worried, scared, the works.
I know Tyendinaga home and community care will be hiring a pt RPN in the near future :)

Hi Liz, Sorry. I work tomorrow too. I am currently pre-op but there are quite a few post-op people in the Quinte area. There is a support group that meets on the 1st Monday of the month in Trenton. Details usually get posted here. All the best as you settle in to the area.
