Movin' along....quickly!!!
YYaaaaayyyy!! for me ..got my orientation on February 19 & 20....huge step in the process!!! I'll miss my great grands birthday..but he gets to have his Jaban (Grandma) in his life much longer as I move forward to get healthy...I think I hear my poor old knees singing with delight at the prospect of carrying less of me!!!!
I attend the Sudbury Bariatric center....the secretary that made my appt. said that they have put the orientation portion and the teaching about gastric bypass section together ...from what I understand it eliminates ppl in the north from having to travel so often to these appts. My daughter who's surgery is July 2013 had to attend an orientation and on Monday she does the teaching session by OTN...its about 3 hours long. But from now on they are combining the two. Hence the 2 dates/days! Hope this answers your question.
congrats! and good luck with your journey! :)

congrats that is a huge step in your journey.
I have also gone through Sudbury, and this is the new two day process. It gives you orientation and all the classes in one shot. Then you have all your one on ones with pshyc, SW, NP, PT, DIET, ETC....Then after that all the disciplines meet decide if you are good to go, then next is meeting the Surgeon. Congrats on getting orientation, it's exciting to start the process! :)
