Well Yesterday was my 6 months surgery anniversary, I am down over 100 pounds about 120-ish depends whose numbers you use, I was 348 the morning of surgery 369 about six weeks before surgery.

I  feel  soooo differntly about food, it isnt a comfort at all , I feel like it is mostly a challenge and some days it is my opponent actually.

I use food to nurish my cells and not to entertain me or comfort me. Not everyday is roses and I acknowledge that and try again later on that day or just sometimes just walk away.

The best things that have come out of this for me is my physical pain in my joints are gone I am not so achy and sore and immobile at times, I sweat a lot less doing little things, I love exercising. I have given away a lot of clothes which is also a good feeling. Speaking of that I have a ton of clothes I need to get red of now.

if you havn't had your surgery yet, just believe in the process and hang in there!!

I'm so happy for you and look forward to following in your footsteps.  I so desperately hope that the pain in my joints lessens too.

Congratulations on your success and your new outlook and all the best for the future!

Hi fellow 6 month losers!  Good to read how people are doing!  I had my surgery on September 4th and have lost 51 lbs since then.  I went in as a "light weight" (that is such a bizarre term to me!), because I'd lost 50 on my way to surgery.  Today I weighed 181 lbs.  My losses have really slowed down now.  I go to Guelph on March 11th for my 6 month appointment.  I am still working at it and feel great.  Good luck to everyone in their process - so glad we did this!

Cheers,

Sandy
