Warrior Dash - has anyone done it?
Greetings every one... long time no chat! It feels like forever since I've been on OH...
Not much new here...things are going well... I passed my 1 year post-op about 6 weeks ago... I'm down 120lbs and feeling pretty great. I'm still blogging...intermittently. I've had a tough time in the last month (lost a friend in a car accident among other things)... But I'm rallying now... moving towards the future... trying to stay connected to my usual positive self....
Anyway....I was wondering if there are any post-ops out there that have ever tried the Warrior Dash? There is one being held in Barrie in July, and I am seriously thinking about signing up for this insanity... but I would love to ask someone who has done it, what it was like... clearly it would be intense...For those who have no idea what I am talking about... its a 5K obstacle course...kind of like an intense boot-camp style course...and all funds raised go towards sick kids.
Here's a you tube video -- you can check it out...
How awesome would it be to get a bunch of WLS post-ops signed up for this crazy adventure? Lol...
As you can see, turning 37 last week has not made me grow up at all... if anything I am living as crazy as ever.
If anyone has done this Dash... can you tell me what you thought of it... because obviously you survived! :)

My staff go every year and im thiinking of going this year too - they go to the one in hunstville , i think im more inclined to go to color run in montreal where evey kilomenter you get dusted in a different colour chalk , im still about the roads , not the obstacles , my guys and gals go to tough mudder as well but that is waay more intense that the warrior dash ive been told

LOL, I was supposed to do it, and i'm not sure if I can, since I am still recovering from my PS.
I watched the Warrior Dash the summer after my surgery. They had a lot of fun doing it.

I have not done it but DH and I signed up months ago for the warrior dash. We did the zombie race in Milton last Halloween but the obstacles were small beyond the zombies. It will be our first large obstacle. We already have run 10k races and our first half marathon is next month. I still have to work my upper body strength...That was one piece of advice I got from a vet, is not to neglect the upper body training.
