My surgery will be coming up in the next few months and I'm trying to get ready.  I know I will need a chewable multi vitamin.  Problem, I am super sensitive to flavors.  Can't even suck on a throat lozenge, they make me gag.  What ones do you use and how are they flavor wise?

Hey Sylvie!
I use Jamieson VitaVim chewables, they come in a mixed berry flavour. I like them!

I am also super sensitive to some flavors and textures . I am ok with the Centrum 50+ chewable. (Costco has then as well as Walmart)

Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.

I don't like the Jamieson Vita Vim chewables, but maybe they taste better than others.  I've only tried them.  I'm going to get some Bariatric Advantage chewable multis for after my surgery since they have no forms of sugar in them, unlike the Jamieson.  Check out the thread below.

I'm currently using Centrum 50+ chewable. I was told to use a prenatal vitamin like Materna.. but after surgery it was way to disgusting crushed to take it or have it with applesauce or pudding. So I went to Centrum 50+ chewable instead.

I have yet to find the Centrum 50+ chewable! I really need to find them in Ottawa. Also while on the subject what are you guys taking for calcium and D3?

Hi Mary

Where do you get them?  I only see them sold online.  Would like to use a vitamin that is readily available in some stores.

I have mine delivered and they offer free shipping if you are a regular customer..it's the ONLY vitamin (that I know of) that is formulated specifically for Bariatric Patients.

..for me personally I wouldn't consume vitamins made for 50 yr olds or pregnant women...just my preference.

I want to be as good to my body as I can and I figure if a company has spent possibly millions on research for bariatric patients I will take that over  vitamins, that are formulated for the everyday public...again just my opinion (for my choice)

just had a chat with the live operator at Bariatric Advantage and this is what she stated

Mary: do you have a distributor for your product line in Canada yet?

Mary: ?

Danielle: I apologize

Danielle: Yes we do have a distributor in Canada, However our Canada Distribution center is down at the current moment. Due to it being down, we are shipping from the US.

Danielle: Unfortunately, We do not have a date on when it will be up and running again. Hopefully soon Mary.

Mary: so it's a temporary thing then?

Danielle: Yes, definitely.
