Oh What A Night.
So as some of you detail oriented sleuths know, I play guitar a little. Tonight was one of those nights where everything sort of clicked. I was sitting in with a friends group and all are seasoned players. Almost nine months out now and 150 pounds gone. People don't even consider I was huge before. Now they see the music instead of the weight disorder. I love to be seen on a deeper level than what is first apparent to the eye.
Anyway, tonight I am standing up for the whole show as is normal for me now, got into my groove and played my solo. It's kind of an internal thing to just feel the music and let it come out of you. I open my eyes to see a crowd of people engulfed, swaying to the music, a sea of phones light up recording the whole scene. It was very trippy for me. A major connect, all these people felt it and gave it back to me. That was some powerful ****!
A couple of years ago this wasn't even a dream.
So when things are difficult, when the hill seems too steep to climb, think of me. Just now the view from here is pretty special so I thought I would share it with you.
Long you live and high you fly
And smiles you'll give and tears you'll cry
And all you touch and all you see
Is all your life will ever be.

Such encouraging words:). Cheers to many more nights like that;)

What a great moment....sounds like you will store that one in your memory bank for future re-playing.....
I think we only get so many fantastic experiences in our life....when the stars align...or all the special people in our lives are in one place and the time is magic....so I always try to concentrate on remembering while I am "in the moment"....
That is so great, P_Floyd. There is nothing like playing in a group and soloing within a group - the rush is amazing!
I play the guitar too (I dabble, don't play really well), but what I do well is sing. And I haven't had the confidence to go out and find opportunities to sing. It's something I dream about doing again. Right now, only the shower hears me, and I play a lot more air guitar than the real thing.
