Heck of a Long Day at HRRH
What a day. Left home at 10am for an appointment with Dr, Hagen. Signed my consent forms and picked up my Opti. Yay. Then it was off to Dr. Glazer. Got cleared for surgery and no sleep study needed. I was really worried he would send me for one and delay things. Off to HRRH for my PATT's at 2pm. That's when the fun began. I told them I was there for my appointment and was informed that I did not have one. I insisted that I did. Ella booked it for then knowing I had other appointments that day so I would only have to drive in to the city once. They insisted that there was no appointment for me and I would have to come back another day. Like hell! They actually were really nice and did everything they could to get me in there. I ended up having to go over to the bariatric clinic and get one of the nurses there to do the RN part because they just didn't have the time in the PATT's department. I then went back to PATT's to have blood work, chest x-ray and meet the anesthetist. Dr. Glazer had done an EKG that morning so I got to skip that part. Holy cow, I'm exhausted! Got home at 7pm. At least it's all done now and I can wait patiently (or impatiently) for April 16th to come. Start Opti on the 2nd. I'm almost there and can see a big beautiful light at the end of the tunnel
It's a great feeling to have all the the i's dotted and the t's crossed isn't it?

It is indeed though part of me is still worried that something will happen and surgery will be canceled. I won't believe it really happening till I wake up in the recovery room. You're really close now. Hope you get through the Opti ok and only one more drive to T.O. And that will be for surgery. Woohoo!
Hi Sylvie, you really had a busy day, I'm glad you spoke up and went to get the nurse to come over. Good for you. Have you tried the Opti, what's it like? I'm excited for you because you are really on your way now. April 2nd the count down begins.
You'll have to tell all of us about your journey, can't wait to hear more. Congratulations!
