Question for the ladies
I don't think that's at all abnormal, actually. I remember when I had my surgery in 2001, I started my period within a few days. I was actually told that a LOT of people do after it - I guess the shock to the body plus being taken off pills sort of 'jump starts' it?
I'd say it's probably just fine, but I'm sure others will chime in as well. :)

I got mine pretty much as soon as I was out of surgery. It was at least a week early. I've heard it's pretty normal.
I went off the pill about 4 years before the surgery. I had been on it since I was 19, and I was 37, and my doc and I thought I was peri-menopausal. My period was clockwork on the pill. Off the pill I have about 5 weeks between periods, which is likely the menopause thing. Since surgery it has gotten much heavier, but the duration is shorter (3 days) and still 5 weeks in between. I did not get mine early for surgery, I was to get it the following week and it came as it should, on a Wednesday morning!
