Normal?

So I had my surgery on Tuesday and other then when I came off the anesthetic I have not felt nauseous one bit until this morning:(  I woke up feeling really nauseous, my stomach is making loud grumbly noises and I feel bloated.  Is this normal??  Sorry if this is to much info but I did have my first bowel movement yesterday and another one 20 mins ago maybe that was the problem? Altho, I am still feeling the same way.

I was the same, it took about a week to get all the gas out. You could be swollen. It been 4 weeks post op for me and I'm still a little swollen.

thanks for the reply.  Now other then just little walks in the hall ways of my building when can I actually go out for maybe a longer walk outside???

Definetly get out. Walking is the best way to get things moving. Just listen to your body. Walk a little, rest a little drink a little!

Hey Jen, I hope u r feeling better, nausea sux !!! go to your health tracker and click ...I think it says tickers and widgets....click edit, .then on the right side click the box that says add to message board signature. hope that works.

have u tired a motion sickness patch? My friend Debbie got one after surgery as she feels the same way. See if u can get one from ur family doc or surgeon.

I'm 5 1/2 weeks out and still battling nausea on a daily basis, it is getting better each day. If it keeps up pick up some motion sickness patches, they are good for 3 days each you don't need a script but they are kept behind the pharmacy counter so you have to ask for them. They're not cheap, $10 for 2 patches. They have to be stuck on behind your ear.
