Pasta

I'm having a hard time coming up with stuff to make for dinner. I used to make various pasta dishes at least twice a week. Pasta seems to be a no no right now from what I'm reading. My husband loves the stuff and its been months since he's had any.  It's not fair to him not to make the things he likes but then if I make them I want some too or I have to make a second meal for me.  How do you get around this?

Sylvie

I make my husband and I almost the same thing except I may add potatoes for him since I do not eat them and I just have the meat and veggies. Recently I have been making pasta less dishes but if my husband wanted I would make his with pasta and mine without.

I have bought myself some small ramekins so I can make my food in them it makes it so much easier as I can freeze things and just pull out of freezer for me that way also I could make hubby something else if he wanted but he been pretty good at eating what I do except in much larger portions.

when i'm making my familyy pasta i make myself a grilled Portobello mushroom with pasta sauce and mozzerella cheese which i also put on their pasta, so pretty much the same ingredients other than the pasta/mushroom

tip -  i also make two one for lunch the next day

I am with them. I would have the sauce on something else. I love just eating spaghetti sauce on mushrooms or some other fried veggie, like zucchini. Another favourite is spaghetti squash. I freeze a ton of it in the fall to have istead of pasta.

Not sure what type of pasta dishes you normally made but when I make lasagna I eat the guts and leave the noodles, when I make penne with sausage and peppers and onions, I do the same, I pick out the penne and eat just the meat, veggies and cheese.  I have made spaghetti 3 times in 8 years and I let them eat all the noodles and I enjoy some heavy duty meat sauce with fresh parm on top.

that sounds goood. I usually do that with stuff I order. I order a gyro or shawarma and just eat the insides.

did you try to make your pasta already with quinoa flour?

Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.

That's a thought maybe homemade pasta with healthier ingredients.  I'll investigate that.
