OT: What do you think?? Is blonde my new colour?? (pic)

So.... What do you think? I did a virtual makeover so I could see what I look like with short blonde hair.   I always did like change, even when I was overweight, but was scared to call to much attention to my former self .  Now, I feel like I embrace change much, much more after having lost all the weight.

My hair has been many colours and lengths over the years, but never blonde.  It is currently a red/violet colour that is quickly fading in all the summer sun, so I'm going to get it done soon.  If I go blonde, the hair dresser said it has to be short, due to all the colouring and because my hair texture SUCKs since having surgery (my words, not her's LOL).  Has anyone else bleached their hair after surgery?    I'm 2.5 years out, but my hair is more brittle than it used to be.  I'm scared that despite her best efforts, it will break and fall off!!  indecision

Any hairdressers out there??

I love it, that is such a cute hairstyle and I bet you would love it for summer.

Do you think you'll go for it? I have contemplated going blonde myself for a little while

I'm no sure yet what's in store for my hair.  ;)  I do have an overwhelming urge to do blonde, but don't know if I have the guts!  I'm not scared at all to go short. I've done it many times before. The colour...I'm still on the fence.

I think you're beautiful both ways!!  Just be careful with bleaching your hair - it's sooo drying.

I used to have short hair, but I found it needed too much maintenance.  Now that I have long hair with layers, I can go a long time between trims.  And in hot weather like today, I just pull it up into pony or a topnot.  So easy!

Thanks for the advice.  It's the bleaching that I'm worried about.  I'm worried that I'll lose even more hair from the damage. I lost a lot after surgery and even though much of it has filled in, it still feels much thinner than before, and the texture isn't as coarse.

I've had very short hair before.  I had a pixie cut about 2 years ago and it has now grown out to my chin.  The texture of my hair just isn't right for any longer than that.  Though I'd love to have long hair and just throw it into a pony, my hair just always looks scraggly when it's long.  For me, ort is easy to do and it always looks like it has a style.
